Dr. Laura A. Rauscher holds three degrees from the University of Missouri-St. Louis which include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Communications, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with an emphasis in Counseling and a concentration in Couples and Family Counseling, and a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education with an emphasis in Counseling. She holds a state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and national certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH), and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).
Dr. Rauscher has taught Psychology and Counseling courses at various colleges and universities across the nation. She has served on numerous dissertation committees as well as IRB and accreditation committees. She holds the rank of Associate Professor and has served as a Clinical Director for Field Experience. In 2019, Dr. Rauscher was named as a recipient for the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Rauscher has owned and operated a private practice for over 17 years, providing counseling services to the community and supervision to counselors-in-training for state licensure. She currently serves on the Committee for Professional Counselors for the state of Missouri.
